Shirdi Saibaba Temple closed for devotees due to COVID 19 Outbreaks

In the wake of coronavirus outbreak, Shirdi Saibaba Temple in Maharashtra was declared shut for devotees on March 17 till further orders. The doors of Mumbadevi Temple have also been closed for devotees. After multiple cases of coronavirus were reported from Maharashtra. So far, 41 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the state, leaving one person dead.

In the wake of the coronavirus pandemic which has rocked the world, claiming 24,293 lives and infecting 540,807 globally so far, Shirdi’s famous The Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust, Shirdi (Ahmednagar) announced a donation of Rs.51 crore to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF), to fight the deadly COVID-19. its CEO Arun Dongre said. Besides, the SSST is already providing free food to all patients and their relatives at the Shri Sainath Hospital, Shirdi Orphanages, old age homes, a school for deaf and dumb, destitute, and needy, police personnel, and others through the Shri Sai Prasadalaya, he added. In a bid to stop the spread of coronavirus in Maharashtra, authorities at Shirdi’s Saibaba Temple had decided to close the temple for its devotees from March 17.
